What can I take to improve my concentration, focus & memory?

I starting college this semester and I want to be sure I go in with good skills. I have a hard tim concentrating, focusing and remembering things. What can I take that helps with all that? (like vitamins, herbs...ext.)

    yea def. do word puzzles, like soduko. eat fish too, it helps your brain. you can try ginko biloba too. another way to improve memory( i learned this in college) is when studying, study #1(whatever it is) then move on to #2, then go back to #1, then go to #3, then #2, then #1, and keep repeating. my college professor told me about this last quarter, and it saved my life, because i can barely remember anything for the life of me. by doing that i ended up with a 3.5 GPA. so don't just try pills and stuff like that, improve your study skills too. as for IN class, i took a lot of notes, in the margin part of my paper i labeled things as important, examples, definitions, and possible test questions, then went back through and highlighted the most important. hope this helped, good luck in school!!!

    There aren't any magic foods. The best things you can do for concentration are daily exercise for at least 20 minutes, 8 hours of sleep, and go to bed and get up at the same time as much as possible.

    Also establish a regular schedule that includes time for exercise, recreation and studying. Most people that do poorly in college are poor managers of their time. Some subjects require reading an assignment 2 or 3 times before everything sinks in - you can't do this if you don't plan your your homework and reading assignments out ahead of time to make sure you are able to complete them without having to stay up all night.

    If you think there is some sort of chemical problem causing lack of concentration you might benefit from an antidepressant such as Wellbutrin. Lack of concentration is a common symptom of mild depression.

    There is a medication, Providgil, that is supposed to help you be more organized. It is prescription only and fairly expensive.

    Truthfully, I think you will be most helped by taking a deep breath and doing your best. Eat a healthy diet and get enough sleep at night. Take melatonin to sleep if you have a problem falling asleep(available with vitamins). Get some exercise outside each day.

    The above are the most helpful things I know. Try not to stress so much.

    Focus Factor, I've never had it, don't know it works, but I've seen commercials for it, seen it in drug stores too. It's kind of expensive though. And yes big brain academy and brain age will definitely help, I started doing brain age and I became better at math, but then I stopped for a long time and noticed I wasn't doing so well compared to right before I stopped, so it really does help if you do like 10 minutes a day on that game.

    Good amount of sleep, 7-8 hours. Plenty of fresh fruits and vegies and a decent exercise. Those supplements are only a quick fix, but bad in the long run. I personally don't trust these pharmaceutical companies.
