How do you transfer a dvd from camcorder to computer so you can put it on youtube?

It should of came with a USB cord. If it did, plug it into your camcorder and into your computer. When it's plugged in on BOTH SIDES, you turn on your camcorder. Then something should pop up on your computer. Click on the option save pictures to computer. Check off the video that you want to put on, and it should automayicly save it to your computer.

If you've got an older camcorder that records onto tapes, then it's going to be a bit of a challenge to get it onto the computer. You'll either have to buy a connector or connect it to your DVD recorder (if you've got one) to record it onto a DVD, then put your DVD in the computer and rip it.

If you've got a newer camcorder, one that has a hard drive or memory card, just connect it to the computer and drag-and-drop the files.

Firstly, I'm 14 and it's only easy if you have the right stuff.

One way is if you have the V.C.R.-DVD player/recorder hybrid and a old tape recorder,

se the YWR (Yellow, White, Red) cables of the YW (yellow, white) cable to hook up to the recorder. Record onto a blank disc an pop it into a computer. May or may not need to be converted (NERO is a great program) and Wha-La

Another way is (i think) you can get somthing like a YW/USB cable, but you might need a program on your computer.

Thirdly, if you have a good mini-DVD recorder, that might be able to pop in the computer, or dub it to a VCR tape, back to a DVD (full size) like in the begining.

These are just ideas... they seem a little wastful to me, but...

Your camcorder should of came with some soft ware to download onto your computer. It would have video creator or what ever type it came with. Use your USB cord to transfer the video to your computer. Follow the Video wizard and it tells you how to upload to youtube.

Its very very complex to explain. If you're a beginner then DVD is the worst choice, its a nightmare to convert. You need to find the relevant .VOB file and convert it to WMV using a program like AVS media convertor. Sorry if that makes no sense but it's not simple to explain, you really need someone to show you because it would take a whole page of A4 to go through it step by step and thats assuming you have decent knowledge.

Hey you may have got a usb cable with your camcorder you plug it ito your camcorder and your computer and then just choose what video you want to upload to your computer. and then you upload your video from your computer to youtube :D :P hope i was able 2 help

If your PC has a DVD drive, you can just load the DVD in there and save the video file(s) to your hard drive. Simply choose them under the DVD drive by right clicking and save to your hard drive. Sorry if that's a little repetitive. I'm sleepy.

see ur camcoder must have one CD, it is contain the drivers for ur camcoder,

if u dont hv dont worry juss log on the website of ur camcoder's company, and get the drivers form there,

and than u can download movie in ur computer,

and ofcourse u can upload it on the Youtube also, if ur movie in .wma or .avi or any other format, u can change the format of ur vedio by Vedio Converter, if u need converter u can contact me futher.

but for uploading it will take too much time 10 minute vedio will get upto 30minute if ur internet speed is 512mb/sec.
