Does the bible state that Jesus resurrected on Sunday?
Come on folks, you're give me biblical evidence that the bible actually says the resurrection happened on the first day of the week! So far nobody's even come close to that.
Blood bought, John 24 says that His body was not there. Doesn't say when He got up and walked out.

No. And that actually conflicts with the teaching that he died on Friday and arose THREE days later, that would mean he rose on Monday (by today's standard calender).

The scripture clearly states that it was the first day of the week. That is Sunday. This is clear. What isn't clear is the day of the week for the crucifixion.
Pastor Stephen Davey of Wisdom for the Heart once taught on this subject. His take is something like this:
The Jews were commanded to observe an additional Sabbath associated with the feast of Passover. We know that Jesus celebrated the Passover with his apostles prior to his crucifixion. After he died, the scripture says that they wanted to get Jesus' body off of the cross before the Sabbath. If the Sabbath the verse refers to is the Sabbath associated with the Passover, and that Sabbath happened to fall on Friday that year, Jesus would have been crucified on Thursday.
If he's right, we'll need to call it "Good Thursday" from now on!

How did the Jews understand time?
6pm - 6pm (next day) was one day.
- Jesus died on Friday, 3pm (Lk 23:44 'ninth hour' = 3pm)
The next day being Sabbath i.e. Saturday, Lk 23:54 'the sabbath drew on', the body was taken down from the cross. .
- 3pm Friday - 6pm Friday = One Day (even a few hours before 6pm was counted as one day).
- 6pm Friday - 6pm Saturday is the Sabbath = Second Day. Lk 23:56 '[they] rested the sabbath day'
- 6pm Saturday - 6 pm Sunday = Third Day.
Lk 24:1 'Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre'
PROPHECIES
Lk 9:22 "Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day."
Lk 24:46 "And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day."
Lk18:33 "And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again."

you have to remember, the timing was in Jewish standards, which goes by what you see in Genesis "There was evening, and there was morning". This is why the Jewish Sabbath starts on Saturday evenings. So technically it translates to our Sunday, i'm pretty sure, but it was three days he died, which the Bible says was at the completion of the third hour.

This states they got to the tomb as the sun rose. Other accounts say it was before sunrise (still dark upon arrival at the tomb). He likely left long before the sun even came up, while it was still dark. This is why when they got there before sunrise, He had been gone and there were no Romans in sight.

No, Sunday did not exist when Jesus was resurrected. It came on a later calendar.
The Bible does not say He died on Friday....... That is only man's word

No people confuse one of the Sabbath's mentioned at that time with I believe the Sabbath of sevens, Jesus arose as scripture from old tells it Saturday

Yes. He died on a Friday and rose on Sunday. Died on Friday=1 day, In the grave Saturday=2 days. Rose on Sunday=3 days. Jesus was dead all, or parts of, three days.

He was crucified on Good Friday and Rose from the dead 3 days later, making it a Sunday. Known now as Easter.
