Can "colored girl" be used as a slang term for a prostitute or whore?
Just curious as to what the different slang terms for a prostitute are, specifically if "colored girl" is one. I ask this because I always figured the "coloured girls" in Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild Side" were supposed to be whores. I thought I'd check with the internet to be sure. Feel free to share some other uncommonly used slang terms as well.
Just to clarify, the main purpose of this question was in relation to the meaning of it in Lou Reed's song "Walk on the Wild Side." As that is the case, this question would probably have been better fit in the music section. Apologies for the ill-placement.

No, that song came from a much different era when we didnt have all this politically correct bull **** and we could say coloured without people pitching a fit. At that time it was common to have 3 or 4 black women as back up singers and lou reed did both solo and with velvet underground

no, "colored girl" cannot be used as a slang term for prostitute or whore. by saying that, all "colored" girls are whores, which is not true.

You may be implying that all colored girls are whores or prostitutes.
I would avoid this.
Whores and prostitutes come in all colors.

I prefer "Ladies of the Night". No need to use derogatory terms for these girls. After all, they are performing a service while satisfying customers by doing a perfectly normal act of our species. Its called "mating" Why it is illegal is beyond me.

"Colored" used to be considered a polite term to mean Black or African-American. I don't think it implies anything other than that.
