Any Herbal remedies for tendonitis in many fingers?
I have had cortisone injections in the palms of my hands every three months for one finger or another for treatment of contracting tendons. Has anyone actually used an herbal or alternative-medicine remedy to alleviate the contraction of the tendons? I do take a good multivitamin and don't know what is missing in my body that would do this do my tendons.
I know what it is caused by: being insulin-dependent for 40 years (Type I diabetes).
I already avoid salt, eat processed food
only about once per month, and avoid refined sugar.
I haven't tried acupuncture, though I know it relieves pain by increasing serotonin levels and other neurotransmitters in the brain. However, I don't think acupuncture in the hand tendons will stop fibrous tissues in the tendons from tightening and contracting. There is a method used by some doctors (which I have already investigated) that involves breaking up the fibrous tissue around the tendons with a needle through the skin. It may relieve the condition temporarily, but often scar tissue forms, ultimately making the tendonitis worse.
Any additional information out there on herbal remedies?

Many years back I was treated with cortisone injections for tennis elbow, each injection lasted less time than the last, I was also having physio treatment.
I was persuaded to try acupuncture, 3 visits and I had a cure.
Tendinitis Tendinitis is the inflammation of the tendon and Tenosynovitis is tendinitis accompanied by inflammation of the protective sheath that surrounds the tendon.
Tendons are the fibrous cords of tough tissue that connect muscles to bones.
Mostly it occurrs in middle to older age when the tendons can become more suseptible to injury ,but it also occurrs in young age when exercise is undertaken to vigorously or tasks are performed repetitively.
Those tendons that are suseptible to the problem are those of the hand, a "trigger finger" can result, the achilles tendon and also the elbow joint.
Firstly, the athletes oil seen on the site below will bring relief.
http://www.herbal-treatment.net/herbs_athletes_oil... Or at least obtain some linseed Oil and wintergreen oil to rub on the effected area.
As an internal treatment I recommend the following mix of Devils Claw, White Willow, Guaiacum, Equisetum, Pine Bark, Rosehips, Comfrey and Yarrow as well as the Bach Flower Remedies Honeysuckle, Vine, Walnut and Rescue Remedy.
Rest, immobilization, specific exercises as well as hot or cold packs can also bring relief.

Hello,
There is a shot out there that lasts for a while but one can only have three or five of these shots in there whole life. I have had two of them. They do not seam to work for everyone I guess?
Lay off the salt. Wrap your hands, or wear your braces (I hate wearing mine!!). Watch what you eat processed food/fast food are horrible!! Pay attention to what is causing your flare ups.
Multivitamins I think are a waste of money, they do not dissolve in your body well.
Such things are from your immune system. I just read that when looking for something for myself.
Good luck!
