Pits can be put in water and they grow or do I need to score the pit to make it grow? Will the pit affect bamboo?

take your avacado pit, poke 3 holes around the circumferance of the pit, and insert tooth picks into the holes, fill a fruit jar with water up to the top, place the avacado pit heavy side down, into the mouth of the jar, sitting on the tooth picks, keep the water at least half way up the side of the pit and shortly, the pit will take root, then will start putting out a vine like growth with attractive leafs. keep the jar on a window ledge above the kitchen sink and it will become a year round plant, once leafed out, and the roots are full, in the jar, you can gradually add soil to the water slurry and once the soil is in place, the plant can be potted or placed in the garden

shrink the avacado in a million/2 and whack the blade into the the pit (such as you're reducing it in a million/2 - do no longer hassle, you do no longer could hit it perplexing, in basic terms sufficient to embed the knife blade into the pit). carry the avacado a million/2 and twist the knife - the pit will come out.
