I am sick and tired of head lice infestations of my kids and now grand-kids; solutions please? Anyone?
I don't want to use a chemical treatment, i.e. insecticide....can anyone recommend something that is 100% effective?

My kids also had this problem when they was younger. I was told to treat their hair with mayonaise and leave on over night make sure you put a shower cap on their heads and let them sleep with it on their heads. then in the morning go through their heads with a lice comb and then wash hair throughly.treat all beeding and clothes , put their stuffed animals in the dryer on high heat. treat furniture, etc... Then buy some tree tea oil in your pharmacy and put about about 2 teaspoons in a full bottle of your regular shampoo . when ever you run out of shampoo do the same thing to another full bottle and it will keep those pesky and annoying bugs away. i did this and my kids never had them again. i still add tree tea oil to my shampoo and my kids our teenages now. i hope this helps

When i was in Primary school we had a huge problem. Every weekend my mum would buy those expensive shapoos and go through my hair and on monday i would have lice again. So in the end we just cut off my hair... lol so i looked my brother.
I suppose you could have their hair braided.
Sorry i cant be much help.

I know how bad this can get, a few years ago my niece could not get rid of it. I had to sit and pick everyone out by hand.
Just make sure after you treat their hair clean their clothes and bedding, and if they sleep with stuffed animals too, I would double or triple wash them, and I would even spray down their mattresses.
If they are getting it from school, go to the school and tell them, maybe they aren't cleaning properly.
Good Luck!!!

nuvolice works if you follow the instructions exactly. We went through round after round and tried everything...mayoniase, listerine, vaseline, store bought chemicals. None of them worked. I even spent big money on a supposed military no-fail solution that didn't work. This did. Google nuvo lice and read up on it.

If I go to a concert and hear a good bracket of songs (there's another word I was going to use instead of bracket, but wouldn't you know it, for the life of me, I can not remember it. Don't tell me I know what forgetfulness is a sign of) or even listen to a concert on the TV and hear a good number of songs I am wrapped. Oh heck, forget the word it will not come to mind. Thanks Jake a good bracket of jokes.

Shampoo with Nix. And you might have to repeat. You have to wash everything that might have had exposure such as bedding, car seats, couches, hairt things, brushes. Tell them not to put their heads on anything from school or friends homes. If it keeps happening, cut the hair and keep it short until things clear up. Good luck

other than trying to teach them not to share combs, hats, brushes and such, there is really no way. kids will catch it. we had it atleast 2 or 3 times a year. the best thing to do is just check frequently. good luck.

Treat them and your entire house, I know its a pain, and inform the school if that's where they are picking them up from.
