why would someone vomit after receiving a massage? Could it have been done too deeply?
I have a coworker that did a massage on a patient and she was vomiting severely afterward. She claimed of being dizzy and lightheaded too. I never had that happen to me since I've done massage. I'm concerned eventhough it's not my client.
* Note: my boss said the therapist smelled like garlic. May be a clue?! (not a good sign for a therapist!)

I've had lots of really deep massages and I never vomited, though I have felt lightheaded...but a good lightheaded.
Sometimes with a deep muscle massage, it can bring up lots of emotions and if you're not aware of them, it might cause vomiting. "Bringing up your emotions".
I really don't believe the garlic smell would've caused vomiting. Think of all the vomiting that would go on in restaurants. lol
Perhaps the client was coming down with the flu and the massage might have sped up the process, like it can in therapeutic touch...or it was just coincidence.

I am not sure, but i understand you being concerned. This certainly doesn't sound normal.Perhaps the lady had just ate which may cause her to vomit.

Perhaps the smell aggravated the situation and made the client vomit more.
