Are we even remotely close to a cure for paralysis?
Because I read so many articles about the testing of mice and their recovery, but the only human testing I see is done in Portugal by a Dr. Carlos Lima. Any thoughts?

Artificial stem cell research shows promises. Hypothermic treatment at the time of injury also has could results.
For management of current exsisting paralysis, they are developing an exoskeleton utilizing reverse EEG broadcating to give upright movement.

yes...stem cell research is a recent development which could treat paralysis and many other diseases, such as parkinsons and diabetes.
stem cells are unspecialised cells which are found in embryos and bone marrow, and can be triggered to grow into any cell. Therefore, it might be possible in the future for scientists to grow nerve cells which could then repair the nerves.

Paralysis is usually a result of another disease, and depending on if the disease is cured, then so is the paralysis.
