diagnosed with ADHD 1 year ago?

I was diagnosed with ADHD 1 year ago ( I've always had but it became unmanagable after a car wreck in 1997 where I received a skull fracture). My wife made be go to a dr. they but me on Adderall IR and titrated doses, I apparently metabolize meds quickly, so he swithched me to Adderal XR and have had repeated dose adjustments (lower and higher ect). Now I am getting into problems again with my inabiltity to sit down, and control my mouth. I was going to ask him to try Ritalin LA or that Daytrana patch thing. I exercise 1.5 hours a day get exactly 7.5 hours of sleep, and eat low fat foods. I follow all food restrictions of the ADHD diet. I was put on Vyvance temporarily- it actually made me hyper (even more hyper than normal) and was DC'd. He has currently maxed out my Adderall XR at 60 mg in 4/ 15 mg doses every 6 hours. At first I had no more vivid dreams, no more excessive talking, no more bad temper and irritability, and I even quit grinding my teeth at night. Now it's all coming back! Oh yeah, I have an atypical response to stimulants- they actually lower my Heartrate and blood pressure. I myself would rather not take anything, evryone else says they will not be around me if I don't take it.

Anyway, would someone tell me if the Daytrana patch would be better, or suggest something else. I promise, I am actually take the med and no longer flushing it down the toilet.

Update:

you hateful witch. I am looking for a knowledge base- obviously you lack one. My wife died 8 months ago on May 3 rd 2007. If you had the ability to comprehend context, your ignorant self would have realized that I made no mention of the present state of my wife's status. Thank Mama's asshole for reminding me of the most painful time of my life. You F**King piece of S**T. Get an education.

Update 2:

to Nikki, thank you for the answer, I will talk to my dr about Concerta. Also, thank you for the defense about my wife, I don't like to be reminded of it, she died 8 mos ago. Thank you very much Nikki.

Instead of Ritalin/Generic Methlyin, how about Concerta? Not sure about this, but I have heard good things about Concerta. My son is taking Methlyin for ADHD and I didn't realize it was Ritalin. It's hard to have him stop taking it because it's been a year now, but if I would have know it was Ritalin, no way! I was really upset, but the medication is working great for him.

EDIT: Hey Mama, maybe you should read his question again, he said he was diagnosed a year ago and his other one was his wife died 5 months ago, which means she still would of been living! Pay attention to people's questions and read them!

EDIT: Madison's Friend, thanks for opening my eyes. I didn't realize there were so many names for Ritalin.

Uh, Concerta is the same as Ritalin- Concerta is just a unique delivery system for the medication. It worked better for my kids because they take it once and it delivers the medication over time. You may need a small ritalin boost in the afternoon. You may want to change drs if he is not helping you. you may need something else along with the concerta and have behavioral therapy as well. My kids had meds and worked with a psychologist and psychiatrist. And of course, your grief affects the situation- we learned that when we had two deaths in the family in a relatively short time.

I think you do not have ADHD at all! After looking at other questions you have asked you are either a very needy person looking for attention. In your last question you said your wife died but in this question she forced you to go to the dr? I think you need the love of Jesus, not medication.
