There is no American Union, and I doubt there will be for a long time.

No. 1 reason: A North American Union would require a massive shift in governmental structure, and many politicians would lose their powerful positions. Why would elected politicians (especially many serving now) ever do something that takes power away from them?

  • This leads to me something else. I am talking about union labor groups.

Most unions have become nothing but bully groups anymore. They were originally created because workers had no voice and were being taken advantage of. Now they are nothing but complaining groups who always want more and threaten to strike if they don't get it.

I used to do business sales and one day I was standing in a store talking with the owner. A guy walked into the store and handed the owner a sheet of paper. The owner said, "These guys are all over me now." I asked him what he was talking about and he went on to tell me, how because he hired non-union electrical workers to fix his business that the electrical union was threatening to boycott his store. Their reason was because they said they would like to be able to retire one day and he was restricting that from happening. You should be able to hire whoever you want.

Like I said before, they have become nothing but a group of whiners and people who think they are entitled to do a job just because they pay union fees.
