girlfriend advice?

i've been seeing this girl for almost 2 months now and i just need a little advice.first i'm not sure whether we should discuss defining the relationship some people told me i should ask her to be my girlfriend but i just thought that was an understanding between us.also i've been thinking alot about telling her that i love her but im not sure if its too soon or not cuz of how i only see her like once a week and not as long as i'd like to.when she leaves tho we get more intense every time and i want to

Update:

okay thanks.i'm still not sure about the gf thing how would i ask? i've had girlfriends b4 but i never actually asked them to be my girlfriend it just worked out.i'd rather tell her i love her but idk if that would qualify as asking her to be my girlfriend.also we text alot cuz she's in college and she's always busy so it works better should i still call her sometimes?i've been closing my goodnight texts with an xo but last night she told me that was childish and thats why i started thinking about 3 words..

TELL HER MOST DEFFINATLY> im sure all HER friends are asking her : " has he asked you to be his girlfriend yet ?!?" too ; she obviously likes you enough to stick around for 2 months... so you've got nothing to fear

    :) good luck !

Nothing is 'understood' when it comes to women. A guy has to speak the words. Don't ask my why this is important to women, but I know it is.

Secondly, you don't want to speak the words too soon. It scares women, if you get too serious too quickly. Women have a way of telling a guy that it's time for 'The Talk'. And that's your queue that, if you really want her exclusively, then it's time to speak the words.

    definitally tell her.

shes probably waiting for you to tell her.

If it turns out she doesnt feel the same way im sure it wont effect anything.

but im pretty sure she does.

    just try it out (:
