Take kids to see Linkin Park?

My son is going to be 11 yrs. old and he's a huge Linkin Park fan! They're coming to NYC and he's been begging me to go see them!

Is he too young, though. I don't think they're concerts are bad at all. I've been and its pretty tame compared to other rock bands. He listens to their CDs so is it that different?

I would not. Listening to the music is one thing but at the concert there are drugs, drinking, and making out. That is stuff an 11 year old should not be exposed to. I went to a mild simple plan concert a few years ago and these things were all over the place so I could only imagine what Linkin Park would be like. I would wait until he is older.

You are the mom. Have you heard their music? Do you think its acceptable for your 11 year old son to listen to? If the answer is yes, then a concert is no different than any of their c.d.'s. Just remember, they may be serving alcoholic beverages at these concerts. Do you want your son in the middle of a bunch of rowdy drunken fans? Its your call.

ok, first i'm 15 and that i've got enjoyed the previous LP simply by fact it got here out. i think of minutes to ineffective night is an ok Album regardless of the undeniable fact that it isn't even a tender bit close to to as stable simply by fact the previous. yet my concept is that the checklist corporation forced Linkin Park into making a set of songs that have the favored sound so as that they are able to chart and make various funds.

If you already allow him to listen to their cd (which I don't advise letting a child do) then there may not be any harm in it. Although the concert will be loud (potential hearing damage) and crowded and there may be things that can go on that you may not want your child to see first hand. I am not sure this is a judgement that only you can make at this point.

THEY'RE AMAZING! im 13 and i want to go so badly. parent wise.. there's some bad words and everything, but its not like you son hasn't heard them before. i think it would be fine. plus they are a really good band. (: hehe.

there's some explicit words in some of their lyrics. some of their songs are a little heavy. (like depressing) but if he listens to it already, i don't think a concert is much different, do you?

my brother actually went to see them when he was 11, that was a few years ago, but he really enjoyed it, he was with my sister, and she said it was deinately suitable for his age.(although the member called mike refused to sign an autograph for him which upset him)

Those concerts are a huge mess. Unless you and him are prepared to be pushed, stepped in, etc etc. It's all up to you.
