Website to help find somewhere to go for summer vacation?

What's a good website to use when you don't know where you want to go yet?

My fiance and I want to take a little vacation over the summer (5 or 6 days) but we're having trouble deciding where to go. Is there some website where we can search based on PRICE rather than exact location? We'll have enough money for something decent, but the money is more of a deciding factor than preference on a place.

Orbitz, Hotwire, Expedia and all those sites will only search based on a specific location, and that's what we don't know yet, and it will take forever to search every city trying to find a good bargain.

We want to go somewhere in the Mid-Northeast US (MD, DE, NY, CT, RI, MA or WV) so we can drive and not have to worry about flying and trying to rent a car. We live in PA, and we did VA Beach last summer, we're trying to do something new.

**Basically, I'm looking for a website to search on that doesn't require a specific location, although recommendations for places are welcome.** Thanks!

Update:

We'd like something with a beach if possible. Neither of us are really into museums and monuments and stuff. Ideas for "couple only" stuff (instead of family locations) are also welcome.

We're searching for affordable here, hopefully less than $130 or so a night for a hotel. We don't need some 5 star hotel or anything, we're simple people :-)

dont know websites but know suggestions based on your criteria:

try Cape Cod---if you want beaches, the beaches here are the nicest of all the states you mentioned with the exception of maine...here are some ideas in the area:

-go to any of the cape cod national seashore beaches--90 miles of undeveloped shoreline(no hotels, boardwalks, etc.), just pods of seals swimming by

-if you have a 4x4 vehicle, you can get an off-road pass to drive on the beach--then you can find your own stretch of sand with no one around you except the seals

-get a fire permit to have a camp fire on the beach at night, only 2 are permitted per beach so you'll have the beach to yourself under the stars watching the tide slowly come in ti put out your fire--THIS IS MY FAVORITE CAPE activity

-whale watch from provincetown---i've never not seen whales on these tours though the amount you see varies..one day you might see 50 flipping in the air 10 feet from the boat while other days you see 2..on the plus side the sea here is very calm compared to some places and the rates are affordable (about $28 last i went)

--provincetown is so much fun to explore---part working fishing village, part artists haven, lots of cool stores not just the usual tourist t-shirt shops, good restaurants-try lobster rolls....

..thats all i can think of for now to sell you on cape cod--it is in your price range, the activities are cheap, and its one of the nicest places to explore in the NE--one last thing, if you go stay in provincetown, not one of the lower communities

I propose Ohio, specific it "seems" uninteresting yet you would be stunned. First we've the main important mound interior the international, made by community human beings observed as (of course) the mound developers. this is observed as the Serpent Mound. additionally we've the main important zoo interior the international, this is observed as the Columbus zoo. And this is the only zoo interior the international this is linked to a water-park. Ohio is a community American term meaning, "large River" We used to have many canals, and because of this one place is observed as Canal Winchester. you will locate quite some Arrow heads here in Ohio. I certainly have lots yet my mom has greater! because of the fact of this i think of you may desire to pass to Ohio, i think of this is spectacular!
