why is oprah suporting obamas campaign?

If it wasn't for Oprah in the first place no one would know who Obama is. He went on her show over a year ago to promote his book and Oprah said about (in a non-serious manner) that he should run for President. Well, people started looking into Obama, who had just gotten into office in 2006, and all of a sudden Obama becomes a household name. But before Oprah no one knew who he was and if he never had gone on her show he would never be where he is today.

Oprah is the biggest fake in the nation. her true feelings about oBAMAare simple..he';s a brother. Not just a brother but someone who like her "rose" above. I think he has some good stragety which aims at a larger population but its sad to vote for him as the celebrity he has become as opposed to Clinton. I'm still pist at McCain spreading his militry pity all over. We all remember what a loser he was when he losst the last elections 9 years ago where Maria Shriffer interviewed him and he practically shoved the mic in her face and told her to get out of his face. Uncool. Anyway, back to Obama, I dont think I'm ready to have a first lady who still uses two negatives in one sentence. That would be a great opportunity to talk to the nation about our educational systems.

All black people weather you believe it or not have a dream of having a Black president Oprah too..... She wants all of her fans , all her Hollywood friends , and everyone that's involved in her too vote Obama..... And shes gonna use all her celebrity status too get what she wants thats the truth!!!

With all due respect, the better question is "Who cares that Oprah is supporting Obama's campaign?"

And this isn't just a slam against Obama/Oprah. I really don't care who Chuck Norris, Curt Schilling, or any other celebrity endorses. Why is their opinion worth any more than anyone else's?

(Well, ok...maybe Curt Schilling...)

Because she obvious believes that he is the best candidate for the job. I don't think it matters that he is mixed because he is considered to be a black man. Oprah has the right to support whomever she desires, just because she has chosen to endorse or support Obama does not mean that everybody who has every watched the Oprah show is going to vote for Obama. Why are you supporting that candidate of your choice, if you can answer this question than you will have the answer to the question you've asked.

Hopefully, because she believes in his ideas and his vision for America, and thinks he would be our best leader. That is the only really valid reason to support a politician.

She wants to rule the world

She is smart enough to understand that Hillary simply cannot win in a national election, but Obama can.

Because the states needs an African-American President. it would give more outlook on different topics and subjects, like the war and poverty in the USA.

first of all........I am sure oprah has voted in the past .but sure its because obama is black ..Blacks dont stick together only if it benifits them in one way are another ...now way do I wont obama for my presdient..not cause he is black but he doesnt know how to run a country this isnt kenya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
