"Stream of Thought" What do you think of my poem?
“Stream of Thought”
I think, therefore I am.
Without thought I do not exist.
Neither do you. Nor them.
There is naught but a constant,
Collective stream of thought
That brings all into being. Connects it.
What complex thinkers we are.
We created this world, this universe;
Put it into motion, all just by thinking it.
And then we created God.
Ironic how we made our own Maker.
If there is no one in a forest to hear a tree fall?
Is it the same?
No, of course not.
We made God to make us
So that it would not be the same.
All is different. Unique. And yet monotonous.
For it is only a stream of thought.

Hi,
This is a beautiful poem with a such a great meaning and also something that urges us to think and realise... Wonderful!!! Have you published it anywhere? Can you not? Let many more people see this..
I especially like these lines..
"Collective stream of thought

Put it into motion, all just by thinking it.
And then we created God.

Indeed so true.. so true.. Our own thoughts make the Gods.. and we always think complex.. How true..
Thanks for sharing this.. Hope you will share many more of your wonderful poems with more people.. All the best.. :-)

I think it's beautiful!! And the question of whether God created us or we created him to create us was put beautifully!!
I also like the part about no one being there to hear a tree fall in a forest. Great!

i love how you critisize religion and make a good poem all at the same time. and i firmly believe that as well, we created religion for naught but comfort in death and hopes for the afterlife
