YES....knew a woman for eight years that told one lie on top of another. Stories so inter woven with lies it was hard to believe. I've confronted her several times about lies she's said to me and her excuse was....so lied to maintain stability in the relationship. That has never worked. She was in a relationship with a woman who treated her like S....t, including physical abuse. She in turn treated me the same way....without the physical abuse...

Why is it the one who cares about someone the most has to take so much abuse?

P.S. I have long since given up, put the armor on and can no longer be hurt by anyone. For her....you can't feel pain if you have no heart.

YES! Actually, I've met about 3 in my life! The first one was in grammar school. I became friends with this girl and she was ridiculous! I ended up hating her because she was spreading rumors about me. If I ever saw her again... I would beat the hell out of her. The second was a girl in high school who I think was a little disturbed and she made up these stories about the Backstreet Boys loving her... don't ask. The third was this prissy conceited girl I worked with who was the favorite of our boss. All she talked about was having all this money and how great her life was. I ended up hating her too. Wish I'd bump into her now.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind making up such lies. It becomes obvious after a while when the lies start to become ridiculous!

There was a guy I knew years ago and he beat anyone I ever saw as far as pathologically lying. There was no subject you could bring up that he either hadn't experienced or knew all about.

One time my buddy and I decided to put him to the ultimate test and we contrived the most outlandish unbelievable story ever. This son of a gun didn't miss a beat and he came back with a story that topped ours. And we gave up.

Sometimes, you just got to pick your battles and this one was a no brainer.

Yes, an old friend of mine. We aren't close anymore because I could no longer take it!

She used to do a lot of shady things behind her friend's backs, like sleep with their boyfriends, then deny it....she'd also tell stories about past relationships and friendships and things in her family that were way too unbelievable to be true.

YES, quite a few and it's always so pathetic. They think they're making themselves look so cool when really all they are is trash.

Let's hunt all the pathological lieing garbage of the world =) And burn them.

Oh Yeah! This kid that I was kind of friends with in high school was always coming up this these fantastic stories that were obviously BS. He was kind of fun to be around just for entertainment.

Yes this kid I used to work with. He lied so much he forgot his BS. He owned a Harley and a mustang and had a million dollars his grandfather left him. Finally I just started calling him a liar every time he opened his mouth. He stopped talking to me.

YES! This kid claimed that either he or his unknown mysterious uncle had done EVERYTHING on earth. Like opened for Green Day on tour or owned the first Spiderman comic ever...

No one believes a word out of his mouth. Why does he bother?

Yep. I started hanging out with a new girl at work because she seemed cool. After a couple of outings I started to realize that everything out of her mouth was absolute crap! She would contradict herself with new lies all of the time. Eventually, I gave her the brush off.

I have met people like that. In my experience the only response that will do any good is a positive one. Eventually guilt should set in and eliminate their "need' to "one up" you.
