Well I am a big Patriots fan...but I watched the chargers vs Colts game and I have to say I was impressed with Rivers and especially after he got hurt Volk did real well. Over all the chargers aren't bad, but they do have some injured key players. I'm going to have to go with the Patriots, but if we are going to win the superbowl we can't afford to not come out strong, no more of these fourth quarter victories.

Nothing to lose, no perfect record to keep, no pressure to win the Super Bowl. Beware of teams with absolutely nothing to lose and EVERYHTING to prove.
The hell does that mean. Winning football games comes down to execution, not pressure. If you execute, then what is pressure, really?
* Brady will not have the luxury of standing in the pocket for 4-5 seconds looking for targets. Not with Shawne Merriman, Shawn Phillips, and Luis Castillo breathing down his neck.
Only speculation, who know how the offensive line is going to react to blitz pressure, conversely if the defense can even get penetration
* Randy Moss will be neutralized as a long distance receiver by Antonio Cromartie, who just so happens to lead the league in interceptions (had 4 picks against Payton Manning alone this year)
Randy Moss best reciever in football. Cromartie's good, but not that good
* Game will be in possibly single digit temeratures, so don't expect passed more than 20 yards or so. It will come down to the running game. Who better to have in the back field than Ladainian Tomlinson, Michael Turner, and Daren Sproles? And by running the ball you eat up the clock, which keeps the Patriots offense off the field.
Yeah just like seattle did to Brett Favre....heh
* Rodney Harrison? Junior Seau? Two former Chargers? Would like to see what those two old men can do to stop Antonio Gates, Ladainian Tomlinson, Michael Turner, Vincent Jackson, and Chris Chambers!
Only valid point so far, although harrison have 4 picks in the last 4 playyoff games
* If you were kicking off, would YOU want to kick off to Michael Turner or Daren Sproles?
Neither are Devin Hester so why not kick to either. Average/good but not great returners they are
* Last but not least, if you were the Patriots which team would you plan on playing this Saturday? The team that is on an 8 game winning streak? Or the 2nd string team that beat the World Champion Colts in the 2nd half of last weeks match up?
Does 17-0 mean anything, I think that means they've beaten everybody they have faced, including your chargers. You think they really care who they play?
Odds definitely favor New England, but don't expect a blow out of the San Diego Chargers! And don't be surprised if you see another upset where the Chargers deny the Patriots another trip to another Super Bowl by winning 31-28!
dont be upset if the pats do, though
funny things is, Im not even a pats fan to know that there that good

the pats because there getting compared to the best teams ever and the chargers are havein injury problems who knows if someone key for the chargers goes down in the game against the pats

PS: See the idiot's response below! Always flattering when some idiot uses MY response to try and pass them off as his own. Looks like you definitely have a future working as a sports writer for ESPN dumbassss.

PATS because they are the better team.
they beat the chargers in week 2 with a healthy rivers, LT, and gates and without rodney harrison.
It will be a lop sided score with the PATS on the upper hand.

chargers will win.
The chargers will keep pace with new-england, haveing a slight lead most of the game.
the story will read "one two many comebacks"
the bolts are playing well, and the patriots will have an off day. lol :)

The Chargers because of determination and revenge for what happened to them in the playoffs last year as well as the second season game back in September of 07'.
