Severe Fatigue?
I know fatigue is a common symptom during pregnancy, but is common to be so severly fatigued that you're in a "haze" throughout the day?
I went to bed last night at 9pm, woke up at 11am. Then took a two hour nap at 2.
And I'm still feeling BLAH!
Is this level of fatigue normal? I'm only 6 weeks!
Could it possibly be some kind of deficiency?
No, I don't believe so, and I've had alot of blood work done, so they would have told me, wouldn't they have?

Yes! It should get better once your placenta takes over the nutrition of your baby, around 13 weeks but returns in the 3rd trimester. If you feel like this is excessive, it's always best to talk to your OB ( any time you have questions). He/she may want to rule out anemia but in most cases, this is just normal pregnancy fatigue.
Good luck!! Congrats!

You have this to look forward to probably until you hit your second trimester. I remember that all I could think about was sleeping. I went to bed right when I got home from work. I would wake up in the morning and take a nap after about an hour. Go to work, and take a nap while I was at work. Your body is going through a tremendous change right now, so this is completely normal. Just don't try and drink coffee to wake up, it will only make it worse.

You're normal! You'll feel the most fatigued in the first couple of months. I certainly did -- I slept about 14 hours a day (I had to drop my online classes and wasn't working at the time because I was moving to another state). Don't worry, it will get better in the second trimester. Hang in there!

I totally understand what you mean! I was like that for the first 15 weeks! Then...just as quickly as it hit me, it disappeared. I could easily sleep 12 hours through the night and then still need to nap during the day! Try to rest whenever you can and understand that it will go away and you will feel better. Your body is working really hard to create that new life inside you:) Good Luck!

yes, this amount of fatigue sounds like how i felt quite often. i discovered that sleeping less actually helped me. i would go to bed early, like 8:30 or 9 PM, but make myself get up in the morning. i'd usually have to take a nap later on but when i slept the 14-15 hours that my body was letting me i got sooo depressed. the only deficiency things i can think of are anemia or hypoglycemia. doctor would have told you about anemia. hypoglycemia is helped by frequent small meals. also, try not to eat sugary stuff in the morning, like eat eggs and bacon versus doughnuts and cereal.

Get your endocrine device checked with the help of a Naturopathic surgeon. in many cases cases, human beings could have sinusitis, allergic reactions, fatigue and different indicators which you're describing because of the fact of Pituitary, Adrenal or Thyroid issues (just to call some). those are indicators of an underlying sickness and a boss will in many cases no longer know the sickness and in many cases basically treats the indications and not the reason (the sickness it self), yet a NMD will locate the reason and handle it. basically confirm you bypass to a superb guy or woman who has some journey.

I would go to your doctor and have your doctor check for anemia and have them check your thyroid levels too! If you have anemia you will be very tired, and you will be very pale too! If you suffer from an under active thyroid, you will be exhausted all of the time no matter how much you sleep, and you can have very dry skin, brittle fingernails, and your hair may fall out.
Please see your doctor to make sure that everything is okay and make sure they do blood work on you to make sure that you are not suffering from anemia or hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism! Good Luck and Best Wishes on your baby! ;-)

Tell the doc at your next appointment and he will take some more bloods, he will check all your levels including your iron which is most important, your iron levels may be low especially if you havent been having much meat latley. But it is best to notify your doctor just to be on the safe side.
