Im not sure... I know there is a song by Incubus that says "I dig my toes into the sand" Probably not what your looking for though... sorry.

I know what song you are asking about. It was a one hit for this guy in the 70's and I had the 45, but I cant think of his name. It was an odd sounding name, I want to say it was Edsel, something?I think that was his first name, not sure. Hope you find out cuz I been wanting to know myself and I did a search and could not find the mans name. Good Luck
