Established credit in 2001 and 2002!?

I established credit back in 01 and 02, but unfortunaetly I never made one payment to the 7 credit cards, hospital bill, and 3 other credit deliquincy reports on my trans credit report. anyways i'm guessing if I pay all my debt a total of $8,000 is not a good idea, for the reason that my credit will soon be erased and nothing will be reported again? Is this correct and do I get to start off fresh? just with a lower credit card score??

I'm guessing you pulled you report on line. If not follow this site to annually credit report and you will be able to view it for free http://mycreditwealth.com/index_files/Page1287.htm

To answer your question, yes bad debt will only remain on your credit for 7 years after it has been charged off.

I would just wait it out, as it's getting close to the point where they will drop off.
