Can union dues from past years be carried over for 2007?
If I can carry over my dues (i have never claimed) from past years , It would help my deductions.

Miscellaneous Itemized deductions can only be claimed on Schedule A in the year they are paid.
IF the following amounts don't total to more than your standard deduction (For 2007: $5350 singles, $10700 married filing joint ), then you would not benefit from filing the Schedule A.
Itemized deductions are:
real estate taxes,
mortgage interest,
state income or sales taxes,
charitable contributions,
medical expenses over 7.5% of your income, and
employee business expense

No, on any year's return you can only deduct expenses actually paid in that year.
