2ohm+4ohm subs??
i have 1 15in kicker cvr 2ohm and 1 15in cvr 4ohm both hooked up to a kicker 1000zx amp. now when i had them wired wit 2 2ohms it sounded like crap. its soo much better wired as 2 ohm and 1 ohm combo, but i knw thats not good for the amp and the amp kicks out at high volume.. is this cuz of the mismatch of ohms?

I don't think your supposed to do this.
They have their own impedance.

It is never a good idea to mix match subs with a different impedance. The reason is simple, one sub will have less resistance then the other. That means that one sub will be getting more power then the other sub. This can be bad for a number of reasons. First, you could blow the one sub because of the extra power going to it. It will also sound bad because there will be cancelation due to the mismatched subs.
You should try to sell/return one of the subs and make sure that it is wired correctly. Otherwise it is not going to sound good or be good for the equipment you are running.
Good Luck!!!

Hi There!
There is a difference between 2 ohm and 4 ohm, you should not mismatch 2 and 4 ohm subs, because it will sound like crap no matter what you try, your best bet is to either buy another 2 ohm or 4 ohm sub, make sure you hook these things up corectly... make cause battery trouble if they are not!
hope that helps!
P.s. invest in a compasater... to save your batterys' life.
