A Question About Credit Disputing!!!! Please Help!?
When someone goes through Bankruptcy, your assigned attorney sends your creditors a letter demanding they prove 5 important pieces of information about the account in question, then tells them to remove it or else (a good threat letter).
Where can I get a basic "form letter" like that so I can get these accounts that aren't mine off my credit report?
Asset Acceptance is on my credit report and I have no idea why....they will not remove themselves (along with several others.)
Any help or websites or form letters I can send to these guys would be great!

Dispute the entry with the credit bureau first. If the creditor verifies it to the credit bureau, then send the creditor a validation requrest (certified mail, return receipt) to include copies of contracts or other documentation proving the debt is yours. Give them 30 days.
When they fail to provide validation, send another dispute letter to the credit bureau, include a copy of the validation requrest, and ask for removal due to the creditor did not validate the debt. Or if the creditor does validate, you should have proof it's not your debt.
Check out the sample form letters in the previous reply but don't rely strictly on form letters. Some of them are very badly written in an attempt to sound "legal".
