A miscarriage reabsorbed?
I know that I had a miscarriage, but when I asked a question bout that, I got one hopeful response that said
"If you were only a few weeks, the pregnancy could have gotten reabsorbed, and you wouldn't know anything"
Is this possible?! That I could have miscarried but then gotten pregnant again right after? I mean, how far along could I have been for this to be possible? I was about 6-8 weeks when I miscarried... For lack of better words, could that fetus have been replaced with another baby? Because I am still showing signs of a pregnancy

I think that by being 'reabsorbed' they meant that the miscarried fetus would can be reabsorbed by your body, and you would have very little bleeding... meaning that you wouldn't 'know' you had miscarried bc you wouldn't be bleeding a large amount. I hope for your sake that everything goes well for you and wish you the best.

Yes this is possible. With my son they said I miscarried but 4 weeks later I was pregnant again. The only explanation was that I miscarried and feel pregnant at the same time. Did not think it was possible. I went on to have a healthy baby boy and other than the fact when he was born the nurses asked me how overdue he was (althought he was 2 weeks early) that everything went well. Good luck and hope this pregnancy works out well for you this time.

That is possible that if you were 6-8 months and miscarried there's no evidence of it now and they wouldn't do a DNC. I don't think there's a way of you getting pregnant right away because you only ovulate once a month and the span for you to get pregnant is only a couple of days. You need to see your physician and get a pregnancy test to see if your blood levels are still high because I might have an etopic pregnancy it there was twins or other problems. So, do that ASAP. What symptoms are you experiencing and are you still bleeding?

I have never, ever heard of a pregnancy being reabsorbed. I've been a nurse for over 30 years. Were you checked after your miscarraige? A huge possibility here is you may have retained some fetal material and need to see a physician. If you're continuing to have sexual intercourse, you could possibly have gotten pregnant again, but you should use protection until your body heals itself, hormone levels re-establish themselves. You should be practicing safe sex, to protect yourself from harm anyway.

take a pregnancy test. i had a miscarriage when i was pregnant. i went to the doctor and saw the embryo and everything. the nurse tried to give me a d&c but i refused because the doc said something about the fetus being completely expelled. i did not have relations for a month and a half. i was still getting bigger. took a home pregnancy test and it said i was pregnant. my baby was born full term the same time as my original due date. i know in my heart that i was carrying twins. anything is possible

It is possible. There was a women that got pregnant with twins and miscarried the one. She then found out she still had two in there, but one was three weeks older. It means that you are still releasing eggs while you are pregnant.
I can't find a link to that one, but I found a link to a woman who got pregnant with one, and when she went for an ultrasound at 6 months, there were 3 more.
There was a case of this in my town too (the kids went to my high school). Their mum got pregnant with the second 5 months in.
