What's your favourite thing about living in London?

Hi, I want to know what people's favourite things are about London for my ESOL class. Thanks!

Everything is on your doorstep in you live in central London. Many of the suburbs suck though (but I like Wimbledon, Richmond, Kew and Hampstead).

every time i go to London i always have to pay a visit to carnaby street, Trafalgar square Soho has a good night life, there is also the natural history museum which is really good. when i live 40 miles away my friends and i always used to jump on the train and spend the day there, i also love regent street it is so busy you can just hole up somewhere and watch all the people rush by, the tube (underground) is great as you can just buy a all day pass (which covers the buses) so you can get anywhere with a short ride and see the fantastic sights, but i have never lived there the closest i got was living in woolwich when i was younger so London for me is still a fantastic and exciting place to visit.

One of them would that you can be a somebody and a nobody at the same time, with so many people living in London, you can really be yourself or just blend in with everyone else.

Another would be that you can be so close to everything happening right now and get away far from it without leaving the M25.

I like being by the river best, and taking a boat trip on a Saturday. I also love the mix of old and modern architecture.

I think it's good to have a large choice of theatres, cinemas, and restaurants. There's always something to do in an evening if you want to.

It may be crowded, expensive, and crammed full of foreign people, but isn't every major city in the world?

You would probably need to ask that question again, but in every foreign language other than English
