Should the Browns Trade Derek Anderson if they were offered a top 20 first round pick.?
Remember in pre-season the Browns would have traded him for a sixth round pick

Many teams will want to talk QB trade with the Browns. Demand is high as the free agent cupboard is empty. The draft is always a crapshoot (remember Ryan Leaf, Heath Schuler, Rick Mirer, and all of the pre-Carson Palmer Cincy QB busts?)
Anderson had one great year, but his trade value will go down a year from now if he does not have another Pro Bowl type season. They should and likely will trade either Anderson or Quinn this offseason. If they keep them both they wil have to pay Anderson, and next year might not be the sellers market the Browns would like to get good trade value. Whether it is Anderson or Quinn who goes will depend on the coaching staff's opinion of how Quinn has progressed in practice, meetings and the one game he actually played in.

No...even thou they have Quinn why would you want to trade a player that the fans love and that has given you a chnace to win?
Trading him well only push this team abck 2-3 years. The Browns fans have been wating a long time for a good QB and now theyv'e got one.
Keep em'...I don't think anyone is dumb enough to trade him....
Derek Anderson the next Kosar?
BTW, in this year's draft the Browns need to focus on defense and building a better team.

Depends upon whether or not they can get an impact player in the front seven of their defense for that pick. and once they trade Anderson, what ar they going to do for a backup QB? Ken Dorsey? If the Browns can get into the top 10 of the draft and get an impact player, then yes, trade him. For the 20th pick of the draft, I don't think so.

No way. Anderson is a solid QB and good offensive leader. Let them worry about their defense, that's where the problem is now.

they would get a 1st and 3rd rounder for him - so they'd have to consider it. All the money is tied up in Quinn - I think they'd like to have Anderson for one more year before handing things over to Quinn, but you should see high now if you can.

yea anderson isnt that great i think next year when teams get more film on him and figure him out hes going to be expeosed as a medicore qb then brady quinn could take over and they get a top pick to improve their defense

I doubt a rookie could bring what Derek has brought this year.
Hell, he's practically a rookie anyway...

YES !! TOP 20 . HE PLAY GOOD THIS SEASON BUT IF HE WAS THAT GOOD ALL THE TIME THEY WOULDN'T OF DRAFTED QUINN. IT A RISK BECAUSE THE BROWNS WILL LOOK BAD IF HE CONTINUES TO PLAY WELL AND THEY'D LOOK SMART OF HE TURNS OUT TO JUST BE A AVERAGE Q.B.

Yes, they can use him to get another solid draft pick. And they drafted Brady Quin, its time to get him on the field.
