True love is asking for perfection. No one is perfect in this world and hence true love, in which you never get attracted to another person apart from your partner for even a minute, does not exist.
What exists is the drive to love the other to near perfection. And for most people it is true love :)

Freak no! Every time you meet someone you have those butterfly feelings but at the end of the relationship or marriage for that matter you know that it was just a strong attraction of the opposite sex or if your gay same sex... lol. Either way, if you think you found true love, well maybe you did. But from my experience... its just feelings. Good luck!

Love" is such an extensive word. It' s just a cover up for sex or physical attraction. The word " love " is more moral and accepted by many system of ethic.
Few people will admit this and I understand, by the way " love" implies this notion of pleasure :" I love chocolate".
We want to be in love because of the flow of energy which empowers ourselves, which gives this feeling of "being alive", we are attracted by this emotional state.
"Love " is selfish.
You might say: " no I take care about my partner, I like who he or she is , I' m not selfish !". Of course you look after your partner because he or she is the object of your " love" .
I take care of my dog, too :)
That' s why many romantical relashionship end after 18 months or 2 years, the honeymoon time, because this emotion run out, then you get: " oh honey, I don' t feel love for you anymore" - " oh I feel that way too, bye" and they go for another relashionship again and again.
This is a common scenario, so you notice that the partners seem to look after this empowering feeling, emotion of "Love" wich become an addiction.
By the way we usually hear something like that: " you changed, it is not possible between us...." again this is not true what changed is not the partner but the emotionnal state " love" which ' s just run out..... the one who says that is not honnest toward oneself ........ people does not change so easily otherwise alcoholic would become sober easily, bad tempered people would become peaceful easily etc....
It' s not so easy to change you know.
Look at this world, do you think "love" exist ? mmm?
All I can say is love is not supposed to destroy, is not supposed to ask anything from anyone.
We ( people) or many of us, want to fall in love because of the fear to be alone, we feel imcomplete. Why ? It seems that we ' ve been" programmed" like that.
With " love" we just trying to complete ourselves but this is not " True Love" which I think is supposed to be more pure and here it appear like a need we have to fulfill.
I'm talking here about "love" in a romantical relashionship which is likely to be a kind of "Self interest" as I explained.
"Love" towards your family, friends, is more likely to be closed to "true love" which is selfless.
But in this case the word "Love" is misused, we should I think use words like affection, tenderness, altruism, friendship, attachment etc.. because "Love" is a vague word.
So, let' s start to be honest toward ourselves.
"Love" is just an abstract concept, it does not exist.

Sure it does....but it's just a matter of finding the one that matches you.
So take those chances, do what you think is right, and everyone should find the one tailored to them.
