Was Clinton the best president? Think again!?

3 thousand American lives are gone because he failed to do his job as Commander and Chief. The ecomony was good during Clintons administration because of the DOT COMM industry. We had a surplus because he taxed us to DEATH. Al Queda tested us in 93, 95, 97 , and 99 with terrorist attacks and Clinton did NOTHING. G.W. Bush had to fight Bill Clintons WAR!

The 1990 were horrible for a lot of us. Most of us have done much better in the last 6 years than in the 90's, the only people doing good then were dot com people. Clinton let the military be downsized way too much, and I was taxed twice as much under Clinton as under Bush even though I was earning considerably less during Clinton's time. I am not rich now either, I am in education and work with juvies, so I do not make much at all, but Clinton made life very hard for regular working people.

    I agree with you completely.

Sorry but the dot coms were a very small part of the Clinton years economy. The real economy was in high technology and goods, not virtual space. I didn't see you die because he supposedly taxed us to death. As a matter fact his taxes were about the same as Reagan's tax rates. Even the CIA said they didn't know about al qaeda until the late 90's. Bush obviously knew about them too because the Clinton administration warned them repeatedly and Condi, Cheney and bush did absolutely nothing to try to prevent 9/11 from happening. All three of them thought the Clinton adminstration was looney for worrying so much about terrorists attacking the U.S. Sorry, but this isn't Clinton's war we are fighting in Iraq because Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. This is a war about oil. If Bush is so great, where is bin Laden? he's had over 7 years to catch him and he hasn't done anything except start a war based on all lies. The economy was great during the 1990's and so was the feeling that anything was positively possible in the U.S. Clinton wasn't a great leader and I didn't agree with him on alot of what he did, but everything that you said is a lie. Sorry, but we also had a huge surplus in our treasury after clinton left office. We now have over a trillion in debt. Your Bush has virtually bankrupted this country with his idiotic policies that he has pushed through.

He can not yet she will as he manipilates backstage. it would purely be for the needs of having returned on the folk he and Hillary neglected final time around! could desire to be the clarification they are attempting to confirm returned if Bush stole the election. something to think of approximately. How on the subject of the 1st modification and HR bill 2015 final week related to the protection bill, giving particular priveledges to an Elite Few and taking unfastened Speech and Civil Rights from certainly all and sundry else. The bill would not look after the toddlers they desire usual Heatlthcare for, females, the elderly or courtroom Witnesses. this is the comparable people who refuse to close the Borders that are on the instant sitting in Congress and Senate.

Good lord, I could make a case like yours blaming Reagan for it all. The dot com industry only made people with stocks in it rich. Just like today, the stock market doesn't reflect the economy. I didn't pay any more taxes then than I do now. Corporations probably did, as did the rich. That was just taking back what Reagan gave away when he ran up a ridiculous debt with the same kind of dumbassed economics we have now. And to blame him for 9\11 and especially Iraq is just idiotic. How old are you? You been listening to your parents?

That is your opinion. All good economies are based on something. Bush's economy was based on the housing bubble which has burst and so has our economy. Does that make the economic bubble invalid?

During Clinton's term, the people who attacked us were all arrested, if they didn't die in the attacks. The Cole thing happened in 2000 near the end of Clinton's term. Bush should have taken over the pursuit of the people who commited that attack.

In my opinion, declaring a military war on a group of gorillas who have no national allegiance and no uniform was completely unthinkable. I totally understand attacking Afghanistan, but to go from country to country blowing up their infrastructure to find small cells of terrorists will be self defeating and will cause the U.S to collapse like the USSR did if we don't change our approach to ending terrorism.

dubya is the bestest president in all of history LOL . . . dude ~ ronnie and king george the 1st mortgaged the usa to the hilt and couldn't pay the bill and junior has continued the tradition by spending a billion dollars a day in lose-lose war and giving out tax cuts to those who make over 200k a year and to multi-million dollar businesses ~ btw, did you know that dubya has signed 2 bills to allow the treasury to print more money and further devalue the dollar . . . dubya was and is fighting daddy's revenge war . . . and think what would have happened if he actually read the national security warnings and directives, maybe things might've been different . . .

And Bush still hadn't done it, because mass murderer Osama bin Laden is still WALKING THIS EARTH.

    BEGIN QUOTE

In August 1998, President Clinton ordered missile strikes against targets in Afghanistan in an effort to hit Osama bin Laden, who had been linked to the embassy bombings in Africa (and was later connected to the attack on the USS Cole). The missiles reportedly missed bin Laden by a few hours, and Clinton was widely criticized by many who claimed he had ordered the strikes primarily to draw attention away from the Monica Lewinsky scandal. As John F. Harris wrote in The Washington Post:

In August 1998, when [Clinton] ordered missile strikes in an effort to kill Osama bin Laden, there was widespread speculation — from such people as Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.) — that he was acting precipitously to draw attention away from the Monica S. Lewinsky scandal, then at full boil. Some said he was mistaken for personalizing the terrorism struggle so much around bin Laden. And when he ordered the closing of Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House after domestic terrorism in Oklahoma City, some Republicans accused him of hysteria.

Dubya didn't do anything before the 9/11 either although he was prevented. After that he started to "fight terrorists" (to make wars for profits). Don't forget that other governments supported Al Qaeda.

    By the way, where's Osama?

  • 1 decade ago

Absolutely not. He was not one impeached and got out of the white House before it was completely finalized. The President stupid enough to get caught having sex in the oval office with someone not his wife. The president who's term was smeared with scandal after scandal. The one who went on natl TV and straight-faced lied to the American people. I remember the high taxes. I paid 12 percent interest on my mortgage in 1995. Now he wants another 4/8 yrs in the white House. After all, his IS running for the '08 democratic nomination!!!
