97' Honda Accord Door Handle?
My door will not open up from the inside. It feels like the latch came undone. The Honda place wanted to charge me over $100 to fix it. It feels like it is an easy fix and I could just pop the door cover off and fix it but am scared I will jack it up. Should I just pay the money or try to fix it myself?

Go to the Junk Yard and find another car like yours and practice with it. If you break it... oh well..... but now you got the necessary info to do the work.
Good luck ! :-)

Depends on how mechanical you are, and if you can get the door panel off without hurting it to see what the deal is. May just be a small clip that broke, very cheap at the local discount parts stores.
Remove the mirror mount cover panel, use a hook to unclip the window handle9if manual windows), pry out the small cap behind the door handle, remove the screw, and remove the handle bezel halfway, and remove the rods. if the rods aren't attached-you're there. Should have one rod for the door latch, and one for the locks. Little plastic clips hold them in

fix it yourself. I have a 97 accord coupe and have taken the inside of the door off multiple times. It's dead easy, and there are diagrams online. Try searching for "window regulator replace" for a start.

That's tough because locks can be tricky. Sometimes it's something VERY simple and you can do it yourself without a prbolem. Sometimes you have to have a professional. It would hurt to take it apart and have a look. You can have that thing pulled apart in 10 minutes. If it's something you can't fix, then pay the $$

if its the handle, you can get it cheap, takes 20 minutes stop and start to do the job. If its the latch, a little harder, But i could still do it 20 minutes start (then have a smoke) then unscrew a few things (Then whistle at the pretty girls walking by) then stop in 20 minutes!

try yourself, but be careful removing the door trim and clips, and when you do get it off,be extra careful,as there are very sharp metal fittings ,as long as you dont break anything, you can always put it back,if you decide to go back to the dealer,
Honda have very high labour cost, why not go to a small garage nearby?

If you're not sure then I'd pay the money, you might just make it worse if you try yourself
