What is a better feeeling?

chosen by the asker. It shows me personally that they liked my answer above all the others . Then I can do my little victory dance with heart and enthusiasm

Certainly a choice by the asker is better, since s/he is able to make a judgment about the answers received better. Further this process is faster too than a vote by the community.

True, some askers do not make right choices, but this also happens when the members vote. There are also point gamers who can manipulate the voting pattern when answers are put to vote by the community.

I read all the answers on record when I get an e mail of BA selection, and try to objectively assess if my answer was the best among the lot. If I feel it was so, then I am satisfied.

I'd prefer to be chosen by the asker.. After all, it's their question and it's good to know that you've given them the information they need.

Still, it can be annoying when the asker chooses your answer for a stupid (and unrelated) reason.. ie, "oh, you have brown hair, OMG, so do I! Have a best answer".

But when you feel you deserve it, it's better to be chosen by the asker.

Its nice when the asker resolves the question, then you know you have helped in some way!, but its still nice to get a best answer even if it is voted for.

it feels nice to know that i might have helped someone or the opened their eyes to a new perspective, just my simply giving my honest opinion. i would say the asker.

um..when i asnwer somebody..its coz i know wut im talking about and yea i know the answers...i feel i can help somebody..coz sometimes i ask questions when im confused i know somebody is going to help me with some ideas etc... so when the askers is satisfied happy and thinks wut im saying is right then he/she wld choose mine to be the best. soetimes voters have chosen my answer to be the best. it duzn matter. if my answer is clear and easy to understand and is meaningful then y not? and yea im glad ppl take my advise then. wow. h eh heee..but earning points isnt the main thing here but helping each other out i believe :)
