what would happen if i spray painted silk flowers gold?

some one on Yanswers has shared his wonderful idea. i asked are there any gold flowers? the response was "try silk flowers and spray paint them gold".

this is for a 50th anniversary so they need to be fairly gold. and this sounds like the only way to get them.

does anyone know if they will die? i only need them for the night so when should i paint them, just before it starts? and will they die before the night is over? or fade/wear off paint??

please help

oh and would white flowers b best to spray?

Update:

im sorry, i used the word die as in "get ruined" not like literally die. thankyou

No, they wouldn't die, they're fake, you said silk flowers. And when you spray paint them gold they will turn gold.

    Gold Silk Flowers

    Did I miss something?

You asked what would happen if you painted silk flowers gold. Then you asked if they would die.

    Silk flowers can't die.

In my experience, it is fine to spray paint silk flowers. I don't know how real flowers would react.

If you spray paint silk flowers gold, they will be gold forever. Silk flowers don't die, they just fade away.

Use what ever silk flowers you like.

First place, silk flowers are not alive anyway, so they cannot die. Also I would paint them quite a ways before the party so they have time to dry. as far as color, gold is a dark enough color that it should not matter what the origional color of the flower is. Hope this helps and congrats on the 50th anniversary

I think that would work fine. If you use silk flowers you don't have to worry about them dying.Otherwise, if you use real flowers make sure you use "floral spray paint." If you can't find it at your local craft store go to your local flower shop and buy a can off of them.

Silk flowers are fake flowers. Last time I checked, they don't die. Ever.

It doesn't matter what color they start out as. Buy whatever has the nicest shape. And I don't think the paint would wear off if you used good-quality spraypaint.

I have the best answer for that. The rec where I was volunteering put up the same ratty artificicial christmas tree they have had for years. When we decorated it it looked like a death ceremony, so we went to Walmart and bought garland that looks like pine needles exactly in the artificial xmas trees. This stuff is strung on bendable wire so you can wrap it around the stem of the tree and get it to protrude in the 'scanty areas;. Also try buying those fluffy metallic boas and spreading them around your tree in a sort of wave tier formation it'll cover and disguise the gaps.. throwing tinsel to cover the spaced out areas by making it fall over is also a good idea!! GOOD LUCK hope that helps.

They would be gold unless you used blue paint then they would be blue

depends on wat chemicals are inside the spray paints

i suggest you just give the flowers as they are

or maybe make your own flowers and rlly show that you worked hard

    =P
