Though I consider any page better than a Myspace page, but anyways...
Your page has a clean appearance. Everything is organized to their respective area, comments are on the bottom. Less animating pictures and no music is good is it won't slow down the browser. No distractions. A slideshow is nice as only pic is displayed at a time. The background picture doesn't fill the page when the browser is maximized to a 1280 pixel width. Color choice is good, the text is readable. Page looks good on Firefox. The logo looks a bit low quality unless you intended that look.
All in all, nice page ♥
