Which Israeli news source TV or Newspaper tries to give both sides of the story?

In every country there is a News source that leans to the governments point of view. Some lean to the peoples point of view. Some are more biased than others. Could you plz tell me about Israeli's news sources and how they lean in your opinion , Thank you.

Update:

JDriven: You've blocked me!! And then come and lay an insult which means god knows what, and not answer the question? Nice personality you have.

Update 2:

Mr. X: Thank you, but I did not say that Israeli newspapers are government run. I said in all countries there are newspapers and tv news that lean to the government. For example in Canada CTV leans to the government. Thanks.

Update 3:

Also Mr. X , in your opinion could you give me the names of some sources if you don't mind . thanx.

Update 4:

Moneymok, I'm not arab so I really don't know, But perhaps if you put your question in an arab catagory or in Africa and the middle east in General you could have replies. Sorry I can't help you out. Cheers!

Update 5:

LOL Kismett, we all are in our own way, it's natural, but I will check it out Thank you.

Reporters without Borders ranks Israel as the most free media in the region.

Jerusalem Post is on recent years somewhat right-of-center (its magazine is to the left of center)

Haaretz is left-of-center and has the most sophisticated language.

Ynet is Yedioth Aharonoth's English service, but it is only published on the internet. It is around the center though the least sophisticated of the three.

All of the media contradict the government on various points (whether to the right or left).

The Israeli journalists job is to be realist where 60 years of wars and no peace have got the Israeli people no where.

As a Palestinian I say most Israeli journalists are far more balanced than fox news or any other Zionists Media outlets in the USA.

Don't waste your time trying to figure out JDriven. He blocked me too, and that was after he called me "a liar and a wannabee" for telling him I was a Muslim convert from Texas. I guess he can't stomach the fact that a fellow Texan could become a Muslim. Whatever.

Anyway, I sometimes read both ynet and haaretz, but I can't stand those annoying side bar ads that bounce up and down when you scroll. Very irritating.

    Hi Hopeless,

I am also a fan of Haaretz, but perhaps I'm biased. They run stories on damages caused by Palestine to Israel and on damages caused by Israel to Palestine. Newspapers also run stories with a Palestinian slant sometimes (there are Israeli-Arab journalists who work in Israeli journalism, you know) but these, I admit, are usually not on the front page.

    Shalom,

    RJ

good qustion , i think all source TV and Newspaper give just what the government say with out any change and also with out any opinion about any subject just they said what the premier say and what IDF say with out any thinking or see what the people say or what is the true just we do and we realized with any reality or chick ? so i Think must News source of Israeli must be more seriousness to let all trust it.

    None…

They are all under the banner of serving Zionism; thus all lack credibility and all promote hatred, murder and violence against the innocent people of Palestine…

There were never nor ever a truthful Zionist….

The most objective English-language Israeli news source I could find was this one:

    http://www.ynetnews.com/home/0,7340,L-3083,00.html

I find that they do tell both sides of the story.

Do check it out and tell me what you think; perhaps I'm biased...????

israel has a free press. there is no news source that is controlled by the government the way that they are in russia or the arab countries.

there are papers and stations of every political opinion from the far right to the far left, arab and jewish.

such a concept might be difficult for someone who comes from a place where the government controls the people and what they wear, say or do, like in saudi arabia. but israel is a free open democracy with civil rights for all.

Source(s): interesting. i really don't think any media outlet in the US leans toward the government. i mean fox happens to share the opinion of the current administration, but when there is a democratic president fox will be saying the same things they say today, not leaning toward the government then. there are media outlets with biases, but none just supports the government like what goes on in russia or saudi arabia or others.

I think Haaretz is pretty well balanced.
