One view that cropped up after this week's market slump: US recession is deliberately done. Agree?
Repubs are worried they will lost in the upcoming US elections because of the negative impact of the Iraq war...recession is sort of a diversion on the real issue and most Americans seem to take the bait that the Iraq issue is now almost sidelined. What do you think?

Yes it is deliberately done. the bankers control the money supply.
Here is a famous quote.
“Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take it away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money."
Sir Josiah Stamp - Director of the Bank of England (appointed 1928)
Reputed to be the 2nd wealthiest man in England at that time.
Nothing truer than those words can be seen nowadays.

The Bankruptcy of The United States United States
Congressional Record, March 17, 1993 Vol. 33, page H-1303
http://www.apfn.net/Doc-100_bankruptcy.htm
Go to the above link and it will explain to you that our money is not real money it is not backed by gold or silver but is a promise to pay back to to the Federal Reserve the promissary obligations.
Another quote from the above link says that we are all economic slaves.
1- Have you ever wondered why people pay property tax on the house and land that they have bought. Even when the 30 year mortgage is all paid up Home dwellers (home owners) must continue to pay a property tax. If you own something why do you pay the govt to keep lving there in that house.
(In effect we "homeowners" are nothing more than "renters" in the houses that we live in.
2- No one owns anything in the United States.
You do not even own your automobile because even after you pay off your 3 or 5 year car loan you still must pay the government a "registration fee" to use your car.
See waht happens if you don't pay this registration for for your car. You will be ticketed and eventually they will seize your car or throw you in jail for constantly driving a car without the proper registration.
If you really owned your car you would not have to pay the government a registration fee to be able to use something that is supposed to be yours.
Here is another quote from the above link.
Why don't more people own their properties outright?
Why are 90% of Americans mortgaged to the hilt and have little or no assets
after all debts and liabilities have been paid? Why does it feel like you
are working harder and harder and getting less and less?
We are reaping what has been sown, and the results of our harvest is a
painful bankruptcy, and a foreclosure on American property, precious
liberties, and a way of life. Few of our elected representatives in
Washington, D.C. have dared to tell the truth. The federal United States is
bankrupt. Our children will inherit this un-payable debt, and the tyranny to
enforce paying it.
Everything is controlled by the international bankers.
Have you ever wondered why n the 1940's and the 1950's and the 1960's it was possible for many many families to have a stay at home mother and a father who went out to work at one job and was able to get a house and have a car and support a family of kids and the mother was at home to make breakfast for the family before the kids went out to school and the mother was there to greet her kids when they came home form school and make sure the kids did thier homework and the kids played in the afternoon with their friends and the kids in those days had a good family life and a good healthy socializing with freinds after school and the the whole family sat down every evening to a good home cooked meal.
Now they tell us that the economy is great and that both parents have to work and the kids have no healthy social or family life.
It has been said that there's not a dimes worth of difference between the two political parties since generally speaking things just get worse and worse.
Again read the above link very carefully and you will see that the economic system here in the USA is controlled and manipulated.

The Iraq war IS responsible for the recession!! How many millions a day are spent in Iraq? Where does that money come from? Oh yeah, from the guy who just lost his house next door to you. Why neither party openly addresses this association only reinforces my belief that nothing will change as long as we have this broken down 2 party system. If you flip a quarter.... regardless of what side it lands on.... it is still a quarter

I doubt it's done deliberately, nor do I think it's a whacky Democratic conspiracy as one contributor says. The U.S. government is handing out billions of dollars as tax refunds to spur the economy -- money it probably would like to put elsewhere.
Booms and recessions are a natural part of the economic cycle, but poor fiscal management by this administration has contributed to our current woes.
Iraq seems to be on an upswing, which means people are less concerned about it. Plus, Iraq is a long way away, but the recession affects us directly, here and now. It's natural people's minds turn to it.

I think people are still aware of Iraq and the fact that the word recession is being brought up is just politicians slowly acknowledging something the average person already knows.

I suspect the Democrats ... with the surge working they need some issue to use as a bat on the Republicans so they've been hammering away on wanting to raise taxes, refuse to fix the AMT, and other measures to harm employers; all while KNOWING that these would make Wall Street worry and thus lead to a recession.
Source(s): the tax increases scheduled for 2010 are economy killers. Who'd want to invest for the future knowing that Hillary wants to take more of your profits so she can give them away? - Anonymous1 decade ago
OH! Jeez, NO! Not another conspiracy theory!
I don't agree, I think that all the world leaders are lizards from outer space, planted among us to lead us to destruction. President Kennedy was shot by Princess Diana from the Grassy Knoll, and Elvis came out of hiding and arranged for her death. I know it's true! I was in a bar the other day talking to James Dean and Buddy Holly and they both agreed with me.!
Well, that makes about as much sense as your crazy theory!

i think the war is the reason for the recession, they bushy guy spent like 90BILLION in iraq and afganistan which could have beeen saved. even if there was a recession, it would be over quicker cuz the us gov would bee able to give out higher rebates

Are you serious? Do you think anyone would deliberately cause a recession? It is not good for either Party.
