Please help with a trojan Virus?

I have these programs on my Computer and AVAST is the ONLY ONE who Detects a Virus.

Avast Anti Virus

AdAware 2007

CCleaner

a-squared Free

Super Antispyware Professional

Windows Defender

Everyday 2 or 3 times a day, Avast tells me that I have a Trojan Virus, and other Malware, BUT the OTHER Programs I have listed does NOT Pick it up and tells me that my Computer is Running Normal and Nothing is Detected. It is a EXE Trojan File, and I have Contacted Avast about this, BUT all they tell me to do is what I have already done. I MOVE the Infected File into the Virus Chest, and sure enough a few hours later Avast Warnes me AGAIN with the SAME VIRUS WARNING. This has been going on for over 3 weeks and Avast IS NO HELP. ( the support team ) What must I do to get Rid of this Trojan IF it is NOT a False Postive, and IF it is a False Postive, how do I know it is? I Apologize for this being so long of a Question, BUT I do not know how to explain it better. Thanx

The infection is in your system restore points! This is a self replicating infection therefore it can reinstall itself! In order to rid yourself completely of this infection, disable your system restore, reboot, then reenable system restore. This will get rid of all of your restore points except for the most recent, however, this WILL get rid of the infection. After you reenable system restore run a scan with Avast! again and your computer should be clean. This will work 100% Guaranteed!

*Antivir i.e. free-av is a lot better than AVG, but I have noticed that the freeware is nowhere near as good as the paid version because of the streamlined database due to the lack of the spyware (which includes some trojans) protection. I just cleaned a pc running Antivir with Avast! and it found 5 trojans! Avast! Home and Professional have the SAME virus/malware signatures, and Antivir Classic and Professional DO NOT. So those "high" detection rates are great, but take a serious decline when you look at the freebie version! For a freebie antivirus Avast! appears to have taken the lead!

*Even with Antivir, you would still need to disable system restore and reboot, because Antivir won't be able to remove it from the restore points either!

You didn't tell us WHICH virus.

You can google that virus name and find out how it works and the threat level.

I also think Kaspersky is a good product. You can install a 30day trial.

    Try this:

    Start > Run > Services.msc

Check the box that hides Microsoft processes. If you see Avast and other antivirus programs, you can disable them.

Try to survive a month using only Kaspersky for protection.

    OK?

My advise to you is to go to add/remove and take out Avast. Then go to your tray, start, open run and type: c://program files click on browse, click on program files and see if you have the file avast and delete, if says being used then reboot and try again to delete as this will usuall work.

Now go to start, search and type in avast. Let your pc scan your system for all related files for avast and delete from top to bottom.

Now install a far better rated free antivirus from Germany, update and perform an indepth scan. Shows nothing you are fine.

    Hello !

You're advised to remove avast! and install a better Anti-Virus, like AVG or Avira AntiVir.

The best Anti-Virus of all is Kaspersky.
