Help! I think my dad just walked out on us.?

Question

All right so apparently at 4:30 this morning my father decided he HAD to go to Georgia to talk to his buddy Jack. He left around 7AM and apparently has made it there. I called him and asked him if he had lost his mind. His answer was yes, and he hung up. 

My mother is emotionally unstable as it is, and no my father is acting crazy.

My mother thinks he's running away from a surgery that he needs to have.

(My father has a hernia, but he also had a heart-attack a couple years ago, they put in stents and had to thin his blood. Apparently he's afraid he's going to die if they operate on his hernia.)

But something in me, tells me that... I don't think he'll be back. Do you think he's officially lost his marbles?

Sounds like the equivalent of running away from home.  Hopefully his friend will talk some sense into him.

Yes I do.

He leaves early in the morning and says he needs to talk to someone. Ever heard of the phone? You need to call him and ask him if he plans on ever coming back. Now he may lie, I sure know my Dad did when he walked out on my mom. But then keep on calling and asking. Eventually he'll tell you the truth.

Give him time to think and he'll pick up his marbles.  he'll get sick of it after a while and wil prbly decide to come home and get the operation. people work in mysterious ways. he's just having an emotional break-down. don't worry your daddy will come back!!!!!!!!!!
