I'm one Yahoo Year old today. Don't sing me the usual birthday song, but give me some alternatives?
besides, the birthday song is under copyright, and you'll have to pay a big sum of money to perform it in public. I'm looking for birthday songs from around the world.

Today is my sister's real birthday and W.A. Mozart's 252nd anniversary :).
I don't know about birthday songs around the world, since most countries just sing the usual happy birthday in their language. I know the Chinese, English, Malay and Indian versions because of my country's cultural diversity. We used to have music lessons in primary school which taught us all 4 versions...it's hilarious, come to think of it. Though I gave up trying to sing the Indian version long ago. LOL!
Ok, this is a popular song people (mostly children and youths, but the adults sing it too) in a church I used to visit sing whenever there's someone's birthday. I've had the privilege of accompanying little kids on the piano when they sang it ;)
Happy happy birthday (Lynnie? 2 syllables...sorry lol) dear,
Happy days will come to you all year!
If I had a wish then it would be,
A happy happy birthday to you from me!
and...
You have a birthday shout hooray,
We want to sing to you today,
One year older and wiser too,
Happy birthday, to you!
Now how do I give you the tunes...
And I found the Russian birthday song on youtube...

More birthday songs of all sorts...

--- I ---
Twee violen en een trommel en een fluit
en Lynn die is jarig en de vlaggen hangen uit...
Ei, ei, ei, en we zijn zo blij
want Lynn die is jarig en dat vieren wij, ei ei.
*1)
Two violins and a drum and a flute
Lynn has her birthday so hoist the flags.
Ad, ad, ad, we are so glad *2)
Lynn has her birthday and we celebrate, ad, ad!!
*1) More or less literally translation.
*2) Ei would normally be translated as Egg, but it doesn't make any sense. neither in Dutch, nor in English.
It's just a nonsense word to rhyme.
--- II ---
Lang zal ze leven, lang zal ze leven,
lang zal ze leven in de gloria, in de gloria, in de gloria.
Traditional dutch birthday song wishing you a long life.
more or less correct translated as
Long shall she live (3x)

May your day be filled with peace and light,
Unlike the R&S section,
