hello reeya, as after a long time some ane has put up such a good thing in this section

well im a BE biotech student and want to do my Mtech so i have decided to take up GATE exam and in which chemistry

is a compulsary subject and we have to take other 2 subjects so i decided take up biotech and other one i m confused either to take up microbio or biochem so please tell me ur view on my selection

Experiment: Finding out how much energy 1g of different foods have.

Basically, the question is how can you improve the apparatus?

we were told to measure the food by burning it over a bunsen burner and having it under a test tube(with 10cm3 of water) which was in a clamp stand. so the burning food would give off energy and heat up the water. and we would measure the temperature of water every 30 seconds.

How can this apparatus be improved?
