The clue is Canada. You (hopefully) can find it easily on any map of North America, or even just of the US, it's that big place to the north. So find that northern border, and move along until you find Idaho, North Dakota, etc. The rest should be easy. But I see someone has given the answer, so once again you've avoided thinking while working on your homework. Isn't modern education wonderful?

Bet you could get the answer in 20 seconds by looking on a map.
The clue is 'borders Canada' That's that big thing up north of the US? So look along the northern border until you find the other states on your list.
