Why Take Sin on Yourself with Useless Debate?

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim

Salaam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah

Why do some questioners in the Ramadan section take sins upon themselves by asking provocative questions that are actually accusations? I ask specifically in regards to questions about Sunni vs Shia, Wahabism, and Salafism. Ignorant people are throwing mud and not caring if it hits good people or bad. Astaghfirullah! Rather than using this forum as a means of educating our brothers and sisters about Islam, or answering questions about our faith from non-Muslims, you are making hateful, ignorant comments on topics about which you are extemely ignorant. If you fear Allah, LEAVE OFF. This back and forth debate does not benefit anyone; it only confuses those who truly wish to learn and it builds hatred between Muslims. La hawla wa la quwatta ila billah. I separate myself from those who are only here to spread hatred and cause fitnah.

    Dear,

    Assalamu'alikum Warahmatullahhi Wabarakatuh.

In the Name of ALLAH, the Most Beneficent and the Merciful.

Dear Sister Muslimah Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid,

If you cares on unnecessary things in this forum, you'll go nowhere. Just forget about them who have no interest and try to play out.

We Muslim must ignore and go on and on. Let them says whatever they like and do what ever they like. We just perform our duties as a Muslim and Muslimah. Answers all questions to the very best of our knowledge and according to the Laws and regulations of Islam. We are only afraid of God Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala and afraid standing in front of Al-Mighty God on the Day of Judgment. No Soul can be absent on the Day of Judgment. No Soul can be of any help to another Soul on the Day of Judgment in front of The Master of the Day of Judgment.

    Wabillahhitaufiq Walhidayah Wassalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahhi Wabarakatuh.

This seems to happen on yahoo answers no matter what the subject may be. I can relate to how frusterating it can become. I like what everyone here is saying.

I am learning about Islam and sometimes I ask questions and no Muslim or Muslimah gives me a hard time, but others do.

I try to ignore those people looking for debate. I want good, honest and truthful knowledge.

I was telling my 11 year old this last night. Even children can be affected by this issue.

    Ignorance is not always bliss.

    Peace be upon you

Yes,I agree with you. Even I have replied several times, but then I have decided not to get involved with all it because this section is not about Shia and Sunni its about Islam and its teachings. A new learner who might start finding Islam interest will get confused on the first stage only as to which path to choose and then they laugh on us when we say Islam is just one religion of Peace when muslims are fighting with eachother only as to what is right and what is not.

I don't want to put my faith at risk, by saying anything, as m not a scholar, just well educated about Islam , Alhumdulillah~!

You're definitely right! That's why I left this section for quite a long time; I fed up from those people and I've had enough of confusion b/c of their questions. May Allah guide them to the best: Moderation!

    Peace:)

assalamu `alaykum wa rahmatullah ya ukhti

    Alhamdulillah, barakallahu biki.

I admit that I have my own object when I post at times, but, like you, I absolutely cannot stomach the baseless and useless prejudicial posting that I have been seeing from people like Lebanon. I do report them as missionaries, because they are trying to pressure Sunni Muslims into becoming Shia Muslims. I wish that YA had an anti-missionary policy.

Very well said. I think the same thing can go for the thumbs down and reporting. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean their answer is wrong or bad. And all this senseless reporting because you don't like someone is ridiculous and immature and definitely not showing the love we have for God (Allah) regardless of our individual beliefs.

Early scholars used to discuss one another for days regarding an issue for gaining knowledge and seeking the truth. Nowadays the ignorants argue for days to ruin one another and creating hatred and also insulting.

Prophet (pbuh) have said "No people went astray after guidance, except that they were afflicted with arguing."

WA Liam Sal am WA Armadillo . Thank you for your question/statement Sister. I feel the same way. I'm trying my hardest not to be enticed into the name calling and back biting that goes on here. Insha'Allah we can all be better muslims and strengthen the Ummah rather than divide it. Your presence is always appreciated here. Salam.

I agree.... There are things more important than these silly arguments...

No-one can take the position of God to call someone Kafir, except if the person concerned admits to kufr or does shirk...
