How disappointed is everyone(except Pats and Giants fans)of this year's SuperBowl?

This year just doesn't seem to have the "buzz" that the SuperBowl usually brings. I wanted the Packers to play the Pats and would have liked to see Favre win another SuperBowl then retire "on top." Now that the Giants are in it, I don't really care to even watch it. Is this just me or does anyone(the majority, I assume)else feel this way?

Update:

***JAMMED UPT,

If by "HISTORY" you're talking about the first team ever to have been caught for CHEATING, that's true!

UGH...I could not agree with you more. I am still a very sad cheesehead one week later : ( That game was SUCH a dissapointment to anyone who was a Packer or Favre fan. They had so many chances and blew everyone of them.

    Well...honestly, I'm not.

Really...how much buzz and escitement did the last 3 bring?

    Philly/NE? Big whoop

Steelers/SeaDucks.... asise from the Bus going out with a bang at Home...big whoop.

    Indy/Chicago...big whoop.

Honestly, aside from the Pats/Carolina SB, I thought they were all pretty big letdowns this decade. At least here we have the "lesser" Manning... and a shot at not only a DYnasty, but history, in the form of perfection. I really got to say, I find that more compelling than most of the stroy lines of late.

Would I have been happier if either the Niners or Bengals made it? Sure. But that looks about as likely as the Cubs winning the WOrld Series......

*I do totally agree that I would have preferred, for a number of reasons to see the Pats/Pack...but, hey, it ain't happening.

I'm not too disappointed. At least the Cowboys lost to the team going to the Superbowl. I also feel the Giants match up pretty good with the Pats after what happened when they played eachother a month ago. So I'm gonna watch the Superbowl. If it's a blow out by the end of the first half, I'll find something better to do.

SUPER disappointed! Pats were expected to go and the Giants got lucky. I was hoping the Pats would get upset. Then i was also hoping the Packers would be in the Super Bowl cause i really like Bret Favre. Hopefully the Giants will play well and we will be able to see a great game.

I'm excited.... The last Giants-Patriots game was close and should be a good game.

I'm not a fan of Green Bay, the Giants, or the Patriots but I really think that the Giants have a better chance against the Patriots than the Packers would.

Oh and I wish the Steelers were there.

I don't think the majority of people are disappointed, though it is kinda regional.

As for the Pats frequency...in this era of football it is much more difficult to dominate a 5-10 year period.

I'm a Giants fan, of course I would like to see them win.

But there's something about what NE has accomplished that makes me admire them. I don't know why so many people look down on that, it is history in the making and I don't think we will see it again in our lifetime.

I wish people would get over the fact that their teams have not done what NE has and give them the credit they deserve.

Sure, I would have liked to see Favre pull it off, sure I'd like to see the G-men do it, but if NE does it, my hats off to them.

I am a Steelers fan but I find this Super Bowl has many plots and subplots.

Will the Patriots finish their perfect season?

Will Eli win and emerge from his brother's shadow?

Does Tom Brady have a serious ankle injury and how will that be noted on the Patriots' injury list?

Can the best defensive line in the NFL put enough pressure on Brady to force mistakes?

These plot lines are just a few I'm watching.

it just doesn't seem like a good match up. Good for the Giants but my bet is that it will have low ratings. I'm going to watch it but I agree that the buzz isn't there. Good thing the Pats are going for history or there would be even less buzz.

I was hoping for Brady v. Favre, but like any fan of the game, will be watching.

I am because we've already seen the Pats beat the Giants while all starters were playing.

Watching the Pats play in the SB every year or so is getting boring.

    EDIT::

Also the game was not close last time, it only looked close because the pats had already won it when the giants scored there last touch down or two.
