Skate sharpening question?

I usually go skating about once a week or so, and I had a question about how long is a fair amount of time until I would need to have my skates sharpened again?

it all depends on how well u take care of your skates but i would say about once every 2 months

I play 4 times a week and I get mine sharpened about every 6 weeks. When I was skating less I got them done about every 2 months. I think to a certain extent though it would depend on whether you like them really sharp, or on the the duller side!

Run the flat side of your fingernail accross the blade. If you are still getting shavings you are sharp. For normal use, about 8-12 hrs. If you are aggressive on skates cut it down to 5-8 hrs.

    time does not matter,

if you feel or see nicks on the egde of the blade-- it is time for a sharpening, or if the egdes are round and do not feel sharp, time for a sharpening
