Is there a religion that requires proper sex?

if so, then ... how close is the perception of sex to the reality of a taste of heaven?

what in your mind is 'proper sex'?

The term "proper sex" may not be exactly correct for my answer but in spirit of what I think that you are asking about... here goes.

There are numerous religions and theologically-based traditions or practices which endorse or otherwise particular sexual practices in specific contexts (usually in the context of something akin to marriage).

I grew up Unitarian Universalist so I was taught a little about most of the major world religions; but I am not at all scholarly about any of those religions.

I think that some Judaic/Hebrew Law or tenets (in the Talmud I think) proscribe a particular time of the month or phase of the menstrual cycle (I no longer recall the specifics) to when to have sexual relations. Any of you that know the specifics of this please share your knowledge. If I can recall more about this I will update my answer.

I do recall that under Jewish doctrine that sex is the woman's right. Also some or all forms of sexual contact are forbidden during a womans period.

--> [I have now added a link which explains this in greater detail]

Do a couple web searches: one for "Tantra" and the other for "Tantric" and see what you can learn.

    Good luck learning and living.

There's heaps of stuff; religious administrators seem to love regulating people's private lives. We read about Islam above, according to Jewish law (the Mishnah), laborers were advised to have intercourse with their wives twice a week. Donkey drivers, on the other hand, were directed to do it once a week, the unemployed were directed to do it every day. It doesn't directly relate to heaven but their intention seems to be to prevent anything leading to excesses or compensation, which then indirectly prevent getting into heaven. It sounds only funny when they're going into (rather superfluous) details...

Do you mean procreation between the opposite sex, as in man and woman only? Or in your eyes is 'proper sex' when the man's on top or is it when they're married..... which?

Sadly...no. There are religeons around that requires the complete opposite, but none that require sex.

You could always make up your own religeon; it has been done before! :)
