Does a Solar Cell Calculator also need batteries? I don't see anywhere on it to replace them.?

    Some solar cell calculators also have batteries, it will usually say dual power, or solar/battery. If there is no door or place to open the back where batteries would go, then it's full solar. The solar cells can go bad over time so if it quits working it just might be time to get a new one.

    No. The solar cell charges up a capacitor, which provides the processing power. The processor - as well as the LCD display - use very little electricity to operate.

    No batteries, sit in in the sun for a while to charge it back up.
