um either stay away from the crowd that's smoking until your completely over the habit or when they strike on up walk away or just take a bottle of water with you and every time you have a craving take a big swig of water and this should help curve your cravings along with the gum. you can also try chewing candy wax of taffy, sucking on jolly ranchers and hard candy that lasts a while. good luck and its better to curve the smoking habits now rather then waiting till you are older. I started smoking when i was 12 and I was a heavy smoker, 2-3 packs a day by time i was 18 and it took me 15 years to finally give it up... good luck!

Well, my pop and bro are smokers. I personally dont like the smell, but when you smoke you get used to it. any ways just think of all the benifts you'll get from quitting! Heck, you could even put back some of those years of life you lost by starting!

Hope you stick to it and have faith!! Dont underestimate your self control... hang out with some other people on sunday, it might be habit, but ( though its easier said than done ) try to quit... i chewed on my nails for-ever! then i decided that i was going to stop... i went "Cold turkey" .. LOL

but again easier said then done. so good luck!! :):):):)

Hey! It is very good you have quit smoking! Maybe you could ask your friends not to smoke around you or not to smoke at all. Call them the day before and ask them to smoke before they come so they don't need to smoke at the gathering! Try to get them to quit too.

    Good luck!

    ;)

  • Oh. I suggest that you just stand strong and chew that gum. Chew 10 pieces if you have to. Just don't smoke again!

good luck. if you can make it through sunday by just chewing gum then that's great. but, if you find yourself giving in you might when to try and avoid situations in the future. that's if you really want to quit.

Whenever you feel like smoking gift one cigaratte to your friend and eat chewing gum if need be, incase if your friends offer you a cigaratte tell them i have left long back, no more until i fulfill my personal wishes, Thats it, you are no more a cigaratte smoker...Cheers

    Best of Luck

Maybe you should get the nicotine patch, or nicotine gum, or nicotine lozenges. When your friends smoke, you can still be free of cigarettes.

Or, talk to your doctor about a prescription for Chantix.

think of the money you save, better breath you have, and you are an individual that can think for yourself. Picture the cigarettes as poop. Do you want to put poop in your mouth? seriously visualize this.

that is a technique that my husband found helpful when he went from 2 packs a day to quit totally.

    kudos on quitting

perhaps you could ask your friends to not smoke around you or they can continue smoking on Sunday and you guys meet without smoking on Saturday

or you can ask them to not let you have a cigarette no matter what you say

once again kudos on wanting to quit
