Cost of Gym Membership?

I live in Ontario Canada.

Does anyone know how much a normal membership is at Curves or Goodlife Fitness per month??? They don't post that on their websites.

Update:

I was thinking about going to the Y ($42.50/month here where I live) but I just wanted some price comparison

I'm one more that would advocate the Y! ... it's less than $35/month for me in Florida, and if you're visiting another Y out of town most times they'll let you go in for a few bucks, but if you trave a lot they have another tier that lets you go into any Y in the world.

I was talking to a guy that had recently been hired to a Gold's Gym and he stated that military personnel have different rates, as well as students at the nearby university. Also, he stated that they had some negotiation room with the monthly price as well. However, apparently there was a required 12-month contract attached. I think they said it was normally about $30 or so, but for $49 you get unlimited tan, towels, and classes. Sooo... just like any good salesman, they will negotiate to get you to sign. But, I do say they generally have very nice facilities for the money.

    Hi

Goodlife is usually about $30 bi weekly or $40 bi weekly if you join one of the Platinum clubs like the one at Union Stn.

Well, I don't know about Canada. I live in Oklahoma, and I have a membership at Mademoiselle. I pay $35/mo. I used to have a membership at the Weight Room and it was $25/mo, but not as nice.

I've noticed most U.S. gyms to cost around $50 per month. That seems like a high price to pay. I have figured out how to do exercises without going to a gym.

Choose a whole-wheat wrap rather than two slices of wheat loaf of bread.

Celebrate Meatless Mondays by setting up a meal starring beans (another weight-loss aid). You will love this sweet potato in addition to black bean burrito.

Eat something sweet every day to satiate your cravings and also to avoid inhaling an entire pint involving ice cream later.

When generating cookies, bake half the batch and scoop the rest into ice-cube trays. When your current sweet tooth kicks in, pop out one and bake it in order to meet your craving without breaking the actual calorie bank.
