it maybe comes from the time when there were many princedoms ove' here The "Deusches Reich I." - 1871 - wasa kind of artificial contruct though

The situation 1989 (Berlin Wall tared down) made it even worse, depending on the economic desaster that came up with it

What kind of data do you have for this kind of statement? Is this a modern stereotype, or one that describes them throughout their Prussian history? That's a question you have to know.

As far as today...you need to go do some research on their societal standards. It's not exactly like you can say they are...even their history didn't show them to be racist in a typical way...they thought they were the MASTER race...so they treated most everyone with the same contempt...

Well, there isn't really room for a debate... as regardless of what nationality someone is... there are always going to be those of the same nationality who are racist. Not just Germans.

Some Germans are, just like some Brits are. There are racists everywhere.

All of us are a little bit racist. That doesn't make it right, it just means it's prevalent.

Before we met, my wife lived in germany and had a non-white boyfriend. They suffered terrible attitudes.

    Racism

1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority or inferiority of a particular race

I'd say no more so than Americans, Japanese, Australians, Brazilians. I picked those nationalities intentionally, there is history of racism in each, and residual racism exists in their societies within some individuals, but is generally controlled.

So - does rasicm exist there? Yes.

Is there anywhere where racism does NOT exist? No idea, I don't know of one.

No, I dont beleive they are any more racist than the brits. I have lived in Germany and live in the uk at the moment. Germans tend to be racist about the turks and britian seems to be racist againt the asians.

    NOpppeee

    ARE white's Racist??

    ANWSER: SOME

    ARe AFricanAmericans Racist?

    Anwser: SOME

ARe hispanic race men and women racist??

    ANwseR: SOMe

honestly it depends on the person.

you CANT say "Are whites racist?" because im white: and I AM THE FARTHEST THING FROM RAcisT YOU COULD IMAGINe. Racism makes me SICKKKKK.

My best friends are of diferent race/cultures.

We all bleed the same you know?

just becuase you might be from a race that has had a history of racism towards other cultures DOES nOT mean all HUMANS from that "background" are racist.

    Period.

so, no, germans are not racist.

Though A person Might be RAcist (who has german background) just as someone with asian background or australian background, or -

    you get the idea<33

If Germans are racists - then Americans are the same or even more so. Modern day Germany has very little to do with Nazi Germany. Sure, there are skinheads and Neo-Nazis ..... you find them in any western society.

All humans have a tendancy to be racist. The bigger the group, the bigger the tendancy. Germans are a big group. However I don't see any causation between Germans being particularly racist compared to other cultures (though of course there is one very real very ugly incident to consider).

What a sweeping generalisation. The answer is.....No more nor no less than any other nation. There is no possible debate, racism is an individual choice, one either is or one isn't, debate that!
