What chance does my Daughter have of carrying twin boys so they will be healthy when born?

My daughter is 37 years old and is 24 weeks pregnat. She is going to a high risk doctor as well as a regular OB. They tell her she is diolated as much as a 34 weeks pregnacy.

What are her chances of delivering 2 healthy babies. The doctors are hoping she can carry them to April 1. Her due date is May 21.

My dearly beloved sister in Christ. The answer lies in Christ and Christ alone. All things are possible in Him since the Father has put all things beneath His feet with the exception of Himself. In Christ all is Yea and Amen!

From a human standpoint I could not answer that question, but I would suggest that you continue to pray and put it in the hands of the one you, I and all of His children know, trust and accept His will regardless of ours even as His beloved and only begotten Son did. Also I would post it on the many prayer chains available on the internet throughout many of the churches You might want to research the internet to get some more information.

What ever you do just put your trust in God and God alone. Stand on His Word and His promises in Christ by the Holy Spirit.

I'm not in the medical profession, but I know that girl preemies have a much higher survival/thrival rate. A gentle insert here? The term 'high risk' used too often with a Mom can cause her to psychologically detach herself emotionally from the babies. It's an understandable defense mechanism.

Still; I think she'll carry these babies longer by sheer will if her loved ones fortify her hope and resolve at every opportunity. Don't let her see you fret too much. External stress can affect her internal hormones, and that affects these infants viability to some unknown degree. Good luck to you, and one and all :)

You can never be to sure of these things. I hope they have her on bed rest and steroids for the little ones. I wish you and daughter the best. I am praying for the babies. On a personal note my friend when through the same thing. She lost one baby boy but her other baby survived. I also know someone who had health twins at 30 weeks. Good luck and may God be with you and your daughter.

I don't know the chances, but chances are she's going to need to get her cervix stitched shut and stay in the hospital until they are born. This is what happened to a friend of mine who at five months a nurse stuck her finger in her cervix to feel her sons foot, literally. She had her twins in december and wasn't due until march and they are perfectly fine. She was also in her late thirties. At this point in a womans age, docs are worried about genetic defects rather than how she'll carry. Don't worry, she'll be fine.
