Why hasn't the NFL Commission looked into the Patriots spying further?

I mean, it's pretty stupid to just assume that the first time they cheated was the first time they were caught in the first game of this season. So why hasn't the NFL Commission looked deeper in the Patriots spying any further? And if it's found that they cheated beforehand, let's say in the 2004 Super Bowl against the Eagles, what would happen to their Super Bowl title? Would the Commission strip them of the win and hand it right over to the Eagles? The same goes for their previous Super Bowl wins, I wonder how far back their cheating goes...

Update:

I'm not a fan of the teams that the Patriots beat in the Super Bowls, I'm just wondering, that's all.

Update 2:

And yes, I do think they should look into other teams that have done the same thing as the Patriots.

Its a political pandora's box, as it would lead to acusations of many teams doing whatever it takes to win a game. The question is how will the NFL monitor the ethics of the game going forward?

I think that EVERYONE needs to just move on and focus on whats relevant and what's going on right now. Not what happened then. The fact of the matter is that punishments and fines were already doled out and the issue has been taken care of. The Patriots lost their First Round pick and Belichick was fined.

Everyone just needs to move on now because the issue has been dealt with. It does NOTHING to dwell on it, because this is AMERICA, and in the American justice system you can only be tried and punished for a crime ONCE... The Pats were 'tried' by Goodell and NFL officials, found guilty, and were punished end of story.

Because is THIS is an issue why dont we talk about Super Bowl XXIII, Super Bowl XXIV, Super Bowl XXXII, Super Bowl XXXIII and Super Bowl XXXVII which were possibly tainted because BILL ROMANOWSKI was a habitual steroid user? Should the Broncos give up their Lombardi Trophies, Romanowski was on their squad both years? How about those 2 49ers Super Bowl years were Romanowski was on the team juiced...? Oh, and lets not forget that Raiders AFC Championship Trophy in 2003, lets strip the Raiders of that Cause, yep, Romanowski was juicing then too...

They Got Punished and Fined Already... Get Over It...

If the NFL is considered stupid for not looking into other occasions, then aren't they just as dumb for not looking into teams that haven't been caught? I mean wouldn't it be stupid to assume that because a team hasn't been caught doesn't mean they aren't doing something wrong?

If you actually paid any attention you would know that no video taping from the sidelines was a new rule for the 2007 season. Why waste their time on previous seasons? Time to move on.

Don't you think it strange that the senator from Pennsylvania brought up Spygate again on the Superbowl weekend?
